Application details/procedure: The EPA is seeking to fill an Inspector I (Level 3) (Medical Radiation) position. Successful candidates can expect challenging yet rewarding work and excellent training and development opportunities. The successful candidate will be expected to: Play a technical leadership role in a team responsible for regulating the use of ionising radiation in the medical sector and contribute to management and continuous improvement across the office. The successful candidates must hold a relevant degree (NFQ Level 8 or higher) in Physics, engineering, radiography or radiotherapy and have a minimum of five years clinical experience in one of the following areas: medial physics, radiography or radiotherapy. The duties of the Inspector relate primarily to Inspection of authorised facilities to ensure compliance, assessment of license applications, management and development of inspectors, continuous improvement of regulatory processes and investigation of complaints and incidents.  The full range of duties is set out in the Job Description.
