A Senior Manufacturing Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for a major animal feed company, based in the south east. The company is a major player in the animal feed and animal nutrition in Ireland. This role will support the Operations Manager from a technical and engineering perspective. Role: You will oversee technical and process improvements in the manufacturing process with emphasis on process efficiency improvements throughout the manufacturing process. You will have worked in and will have experience of a high-volume working mill and manufacturing which incorporates the following processes. * Grinding and Blending of grains and raw materials. * Pelletising of grains. * Flaking of grains. * Extrusion of finished products. * Automated bagging and palletising processes. * Steam and conditioning process. * Conveyor, elevator and product routing. * Aspiration and air handling systems. The role will involve the continuous assessment of manufacturing systems and work to develop and implement viable engineering improvements to drive efficiencies within the manufacturing processes. This is a stand-alone role, but it will link closely with the Maintenance manager and maintenance, production and operations departments. The role will provide technical engineering support and problem-solving expertise to manufacturing department. This role will support a number of manufacturing sites within the group where needed. The role will work closely with existing engineering expertise across the sites. Requirements: A degree in engineering. A minimum of five years working in a manufacturing, process driven environment. A number of years working in an animal feed, milling, production or similar environment. An ability as a self-starter and also to work as a team player within the organisation.
