Financial Accountant (6 month fixed term contract. The role of the Financial Accountant is to support the A&R Manager in ensuring the integrity of financial processes. Keen focus on financial and management close process by performing activities such as control account reconciliations, revenue assurance activities. Working closely with finance teams, they ensure that all close activity in their Category/Function progresses smoothly and act as the first point of contact for resolution of queries. They also have a responsibility in creating the draft P&L / B/S and Cashflow statements for their A&R manager to review and approve. Responsibilities. • Ensure Period End close activities are performed according to agreed close schedules. • Clear and accurate monthly financial reporting of P&L and Balance Sheet, via SAP BW, including supporting schedules. • Prepare other reports as required – e.g. Inventory reporting (monitoring obsolesce / performing inventory adjustments. • Provide analysis and supporting information to assist management teams in understanding business performance and decision making. • Ensuring compliance with controls including reporting on and monitoring of controls & Liaising with internal and external auditors. Experience. • Professional Accounting Qualification. • 2-3 years post qualification experience ideally in a multinational organisation or professional practice. • Strong financial reporting (IAS/IFRS) background and risk management experience.
