FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Lab Manager to manage & oversee the running of a commercial laboratory. This is a full-time permanent role and based in County Carlow. Overview. My client provides provide a comprehensive range of testing for the Agricultural and Environmental sectors in Ireland. Agricultural testing includes testing soil for a number of nutrients along with trace elements to ensure optimum growth for all crops. Other services include providing environmental testing on water for a range of tests including dangerous substances, organic pollutants & toxic substances. Key Responsibilities. Assist the managing director, the laboratory manager and the laboratory supervisor with the day to day running of the laboratory Plan and develop strategies and controlling workflow. Carry out microbiological analysis, assist in the planning and implementation of investment, Maintain INAB quality standards, practices and documentation. Ensure Laboratory Documentation and Computerized Systems compliance with Data Integrity policies and regulatory requirements. Understand Regulations and business processes required to maintain Laboratory Data Integrity. Ensuring timely completion of all laboratory analysis assigned. Identifying and implementing improvements in work practices through LEAN. Identifying weaknesses in laboratory performance and working with the laboratory manager and laboratory supervisor to rectify. Deputise for the Laboratory Manager as assigned. Ensuring that all laboratory test equipment is utilised and maintained correctly. Maintaining up-to-date, complete and precise records of all tests performed. Developing expertise and understanding of current and future analytical techniques. Developing and changing of in-house laboratory procedures as appropriate. Carrying out verification of testing records as necessary. Qualifications and Requirements. 3rd level qualification in a relevant science discipline. Minimum 5 years analytical experience in an analytical laboratory. Proven track record in a management and quality role. Proven microbiology experience. Experience in ICPMS, ICPOES and GCMS would be an advantage. Strong knowledge on regulatory requirements. Renumeration. Salary DOE. To apply. Please email your cv through the attached link.
