Long established Irish family owned Forwarder, specialising in European Road and Sea freight, now seek to hire an experienced Forwarder to work in their busy Italian Import department. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have responsibility to assist with organising the daily freight functions, as per the companies and clients requirements and maintain a high level of customer service. Duties & Responsibilities: Organizing, planning and monitoring the loading and shipping of Freight from Italy to Ireland. Provide excellent customer service to our client base. Liaise on a daily basis with our various Italian Partners through e mail & phone. Liaising with clients, sub contractors, Agents, warehouse and other essential personnel to ensure efficient flows of information. Perform administration tasks efficiently and to a high standard, in accordance with departmental requirements. Ensure all queries and requests are dealt with accurately and promptly. While working as part of a Team and contributing to the efficiency of the overall department, this is a role that holds a high level of responsibility and reports directly to Senior management. Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 2 – 3 years transport / forwarding experience with a busy UK / European Roadfreight environment. Solid PC skills. Good Communication and Interpersonal skills. Flexible and a strong Team player. Italian language not a requirement but would assist in performing your tasks. Customer focussed. Terms: Full time, Permanent. Package: DOE.
