Our client, a well established beverage producer in Tipperary, now has a fantastic opportunity for somebody looking to advance their career in the FMCG procurement industry. This is a brand new position within the company and our client is seeking an ambitious person to really make it their own! Experience in the procurement of commodities and raw materials is essential as well as sound working knowledge of the FMCG market. The role will require small amounts of travel between sites and a competitive salary is on offer along with an attractive benefits package. Purpose of the role: To implement best in class procurement strategies addressing the direct spend of the company across their packaging and ingredients categorie. Key Responsibilities: Drive strategy development and implementation for key direct spend categories. Initiate and execute procurement and strategic sourcing projects to drive value and deliver multi million cost savings. Ongoing supplier development to maximize value post contract award. In depth analysis of the supply market, the identification and delivery of savings targets, the use of appropriate sourcing tools and processes, risk identification and mitigation strategies. Nurturing and developing the relationships of key stakeholders, as well as build / establish strategic relationships with key suppliers.
