Our client, a luxury hotel based in Co. Kilkenny currently have a vacancy for a Reservations Manager . The right candidate for this role will have previous experience in the hospitality sector and ideally have an understanding of revenue and forecasting. The Role. Understanding and analysing the yields, reservations and revenue returns. Preparing group forecast reports for weekly meetings. Understanding and managing third party websites in order to monitor availability rates. Work with other departments to ensure correct room revenues. Attending hotel meetings as required assuring effective communication across all levels. Ensuring all staff are trained to the required standards. Generating new leads to pass on to the sales team. Ensuring full knowledge of hotel facilities and promote them at every opportunity. Compiling weekly rosters and completing weekly timesheets for payroll. The Person. Previous experience working in the Hospitality industry essential. Previous experience managing a team of people within the hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of Opera software or other relevant packages. Experience with Revenue, yielding and forecasting a distinct advantage. Strong analytical background. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent communication skills. Work well as part of a team and on own initiative.
