A large manufacturer and exporter of packaged food products are currently seeking a Planning Manager to join their team. This is a multi-faceted planning role where the successful candidate will be responsible for planning materials, logistics, production, and forecasting. This role reports directly to the Site Director and will be based in Kilkenny. The Position. Work cross functionally to coordinate planning across various areas of the business. Ensure that raw material is readily available to meet production plans. Work to maximise the plant capacity. Set realistic daily production schedules to meet customer demand. Highlight any issues or gaps in the planning process and handle it in a timely manner. Develop ways to reduce stock holdings. Suggest innovative ways to improve processes and implement cost savings. The Person. The successful candidate will have: A broad knowledge of planning across multiple business areas. Recent experience working in the food manufacturing industry is essential. Demonstrated experience influencing and leading a team. Must be an exceptionally strong communicator. Demonstrated experience of process improvements.
