The Role. Accountable for Health & Safety system execution and development within the area. Engagement within the direct group, is supported through 5S, Safety and CI systems. Ensure high quality product is produced on time in full. Ensure team optimization and the control of fixed costs. Lead and develop the team. Ensure ongoing coaching and mentoring is provided in order to continually enhance skills and knowledge to meet the demands of the business now and in the future. Ensure efficiency and scrap targets are met. Responsible for training adherence and ensuring absence and overtime targets are met. Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures. Interact with internal and external customers at all times. Ensure there is a comprehensive program of continuous improvement in place to improve quality, performance, efficiency and reduce costs through structured problem solving activities (Kaizens, PRSM’s. Continuously strive to improve employee engagement and ensure efficient and effective communication at all times. The Person. 3 rd Level Degree. Previous experience of leading and managing teams in a manufacturing environment is essential. Demonstrate personal leadership experience and understand the importance of positive employee engagement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving skills.
