Front Office Manager - Kilkenny. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Front Office Manager for our esteemed client in Kilkenny. The front office manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the front office department's operational function and making contribution to the profitability of the Hotel by ensuring effective cost controls within the front office operation and by promoting hotel services to guests. The front office manager will also maintain consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction while creating a work environment that supports organisational values. The Job: Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Front office and reservation department. Coordinate yield management to maximise revenue. Meet departmental budgets, set targets and goals for team members. Ensure all team members are fully trained in all hotel services and products to maximise sales and upselling opportunities. Up to date knowledge of hotel operations, best practice, current market trends, competitor activity and all legislative requirements of the department. Maintain excellent working relationships with all vendors and maintain external business relationships. Implement and maintain procedure to ensure efficient and effective operations. Coordinate with other HOD's on strategic hotel operations, budgets and targets. Recruit, train and retain a competent and passionate team who go above and beyond to meet customer expectations. You: Come from a strong Hotel Background in 4*/5* Hotels. 2-3 Years Prior experience in a Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager position. Have experience in high volume, busy front office operations100 rooms plus. Love working in the industry and focused on a long term career in hotel management. Well presented with an excellent manner and guest focused personality. Natural Leadership skills and ability to build a team focused work environment. Excellent problem solving skills. Calm under pressure and be able to deal with difficult situations as they arise. Have an ability to think strategically about the front office department and the entire hotels operation. Have excellent administrative skills and computer literacy including advanced knowledge of Hotsoft, Opera and management of reservation engines and auxiliary reservation sites.
