Our client a well-known medical device company are looking for a CNC Programmer to lead their team. This is a rapidly gorwing environment with multi site operations and huge potential for growth. The role involves: Collaborate with precision and engineering functions on NPI. Act as the link between customer engineers and programmers. Lead and develop CNC programmers and manufacturing engineers in relation to CNC production. Advise and consult on NPI and programming. Overseeing multiple capital equipment projects, including conceptualizing equipment, communicating with external vendors and managing timelines and budgets. Leading cost and efficiency improvements project in line with company objectives. Programming CNC equipment to maximize production efficiencies. Troubleshooting as needed. Determining manufacturability of new product launches. Working with external vendors on fixture and tooling projects. Provide manufacturing engineering support for precision machining. Work with team to provide cycle times/programming times/fixturing times for quotation purposes. Delegating tasks for programmers in NPI process. The ideal candidate: Degree qualification in engineering. Experience in CNC setting and programming. An exceptionally strong programmer is needed for this role. Milling/turning experience. NPI experience. Med device/manufacturing experience. Experience with people management is desirable. Salary depends on experience but a competitive package is on offer.
