Hartley People are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client based in Waterford. The company. Our client is one of Ireland's leading mechanical and electrical engineering companies and have extensive experience delivering complex projects in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Public Works, Industrial and Commercial sectors. They offer a full range of installation services, including Engineering, Project Management, Data Works, Design, Build and Construction. The Role. The role reports to Contracts Managers and Directors. • Manage commercial aspects through lifecycle of projects. • Conduct cost and risk analysis. • Manage project cashflow. • Manage commercial aspects of subcontractors. • Provide project costing, margin & cashflow reports. • Manage project change order procedures and agree costs with client. • Provide monthly valuations and certs. • Agree final accounts. The Person. • A relevant degree. • 5 years’ experience in a similar role. • Capability to develop key customer relationships. • Capability to commercially manage a number of projects concurrently. • A proven working knowledge of current contract law.
